How to make and receive calls?
Organizing an employee’s workspace is always a choice between flexibility and stability. Thanks to UniTalk, you can use your account to make and receive calls in any convenient way: via the internet (VoIP) or via the mobile network (GSM). This allows you to optimize costs and ensure quality communication for every employee, regardless of whether they work in the office or remotely. Let’s look at both options so you can choose the ideal one for your team.
Calling via the Internet (VoIP)
This option is suitable only for those users who spend 100% of their time in the office, as stable internet is required—either cable or stable Wi-Fi. (3G-4G is not stable enough for calls everywhere).
How does it work?
The user will make/receive calls through a specialized program (there are free ones) for calls, installed on a smartphone or on a PC/tablet with a connected headset (headphones with a microphone).
This method of providing an employee’s workspace also requires a phone number(s). You can allocate a number for each user or one or more numbers for all employees, for example, one number per department. Multi-channel numbers allow several simultaneous calls, so all employees can call at the same time.
Calling via the GSM Network (FMC)
This option is suitable for those users who spend part of their working time NOT in the office, and do not have access to stable internet.
How does it work?
The user will make/receive calls through a special FMC SIM card from lifecell (175 UAH/month). The peculiarity of the FMC SIM card is that it does not have a conventional tariff; nothing is included in it—no minutes to other operators, no internet, and no SMS. (Internet and SMS can be ordered for an additional fee).
This method of providing an employee’s workspace DOES NOT require additional phone number(s). Each user will have an individual FMC SIM card number. FMC SIM card numbers are single-channel, allowing only one simultaneous call, so each employee needs an individual number.
Important: These options can be combined, with FMC SIM cards for some employees and lines in softphones for others.
Conclusion:
UniTalk’s flexibility allows you to combine connection methods, providing the ideal workspace for every employee—from a stationary office operator (VoIP with a headset) to a remote manager who is constantly moving (FMC SIM card). You get maximum availability and control over call quality, while minimizing costs, as you only pay for the tools necessary for your team.
